  • Strategically Using Resources to Prepare Students for the 21st Century

    The La Habra City School District’s Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) was approved by the La Habra City School District Board of Trustees on June 26, 2014. Incorporating input from stakeholders, the LCAP addresses the required eight State priorities and defines a 3-year plan to address the five goals that set the direction for the District.

  • Measure ‘O’ Update

    The District has been busy implementing the first phases of Measure “O” funding. All sites have already received technology upgrades including mobile computing devices and enhancements to the wireless network.

    !Buenos dias, amigos! Walking the down the hall outside Kindergarten Room 6 at Arbolita you will hear students and adults in conversation in Spanish. This is an extension of the learning that is occurring in our two dual immersion Kindergarten Classrooms.

  • P21 Sustainability Showcase at Cal State Fullerton

    On May 24th the California Center for 21st Century Education held its first annual P21 Sustainability Showcase at Cal State Fullerton. Joselle Barnoya and Amber Redmon from Walnut School won 1st Place in the Elementary Division with their presentation on Sustaining the Recovery of the Ozone Layer.

  • Academic Pentathlon

    Congratulations to our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Academic Pentathlon teams from Imperial and Washington Middle Schools. Students meet after school with the guidance and support from their teacher/coaches, to research and study the specific content outlined for the current year’s competition.

    On May 1st the Orange County Department of Education held the second annual Celebrating Success for English Learners recognition. This event was an opportunity to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions in promoting the success of English learners.
