Arbolita Visual and Performing Arts Academy had a fantastic kickoff to the new school year—thanks to the entire staff! Our team rolled out the red carpet, grabbed the pom-poms, and turned up the Disney music, welcoming students back to school on the first day!
The terrific backdrop and giant pencil props were created by Kathy McClintock, our MTSS TOSA, and the beautiful balloons were crafted by Maria Polanco, one of our amazing student supervisors. The staff was well-prepared for the first day of school, having worked over the summer and during the week prior.
We also hosted a "Meet the Mouseketeers (Teachers)" event in the multipurpose room, where families were welcomed to meet their teachers, pick up their car magnets, and receive a treat from their new teacher! Jason Munier and Mike Lopez, our wonderful custodians, ensured that the multipurpose room was spotless and ready for our visitors. Cheri Abeelen, Julie Molino, Helen Escobar, and Janet Daleo-Desmith, our student supervisors, decorated the walls with a cultural "It’s a Small World" theme!
We are so excited to continue building dreams together this year!
