Celebrating Achievement and Growth at Arbolita

Arbolita is starting the year off strong! Our students have begun their second iReady diagnostic assessments in mathematics and language arts, giving us the opportunity to celebrate their successes and growth while planning for any challenges and learning gaps. Students are putting in their best effort to showcase their learning, and we’ve created a reward system to celebrate their hard work!

Students can earn a variety of prizes, including class pizza parties, extra recess/PE time, a chance to spin the prize wheel, Good Bee tickets, and Bee Bucks. Thanks to Mrs. McClintock, our Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Teacher on Special Assignment, these rewards are thoughtfully planned and delivered. Mrs. McClintock also provides support to students who need extra time to finish their diagnostics.

As a school team, we are excited to reflect on our students’ growth and plan for continued success. Each week, we recognize one student from each classroom as our Imagineer of the Week, chosen by their teachers for demonstrating excellent work, improvement in classroom performance, work ethic, attendance, or behavior. Recently, Imagineers were celebrated for their outstanding growth on the iReady diagnostic.

In addition to these achievements, we recently celebrated our first class to earn 75 Good Choice Tickets. Their reward? A lunch field trip to the newly renovated Old Reservoir Park across from Arbolita. Mrs. McClintock and Ms. McCully joined our fourth graders as they enjoyed games and the new playground equipment. It was an unforgettable experience, and we are looking forward to celebrating the next classroom to achieve this milestone!

We are grateful for the support of our families in helping students do their best every day. Together, we are building a culture of achievement, growth, and celebration at Arbolita!
