Business Services

The Business Services Department is essential to the successful operation of the school district, providing the financial and operational foundation that allows schools to focus on student achievement. This department oversees the following key areas: Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fiscal Services, Payroll and Attendance, Maintenance, Facilities and Operations, Nutrition Services, Purchasing, and Transportation.

Through its work, the department ensures that schools have the resources, support, and environments needed to help students become effective communicators, respectful of self and others, independent lifelong learners, critical thinkers and problem solvers, and responsible, contributing members of society.

Each area works in coordination to ensure schools are safe, well-equipped, and financially supported:

Accounts Payable/Receivable
Manages the district’s financial transactions by processing payments to vendors and recording incoming revenues. Ensures that all invoices are paid accurately and on time while maintaining proper documentation to support fiscal accountability and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Fiscal Services
Oversees the district’s overall financial health by managing the annual budget, preparing financial reports and coordinating audits. Ensures funds are used responsibly and in alignment with district goals while maintaining compliance with state and federal financial requirements.

Payroll and Attendance
Ensures timely and accurate employee compensation while tracking workdays, absences and leave balances. This department supports both operational accuracy and legal requirements related to employment.

Maintenance, Facilities, and Operations
Maintains safe, clean and functional learning environments by overseeing building repairs, custodial services and groundskeeping. This department ensures that facilities support student learning and meet health, safety and accessibility standards across all school sites and administrative locations.

Nutrition Services
Provides students with nutritious meals that meet federal and state dietary guidelines. Supports student wellness and academic performance by offering breakfast, lunch and snack programs that are healthy, safe and accessible to all students.

Purchasing
Manages the acquisition of all goods and services for the district, from classroom supplies to major contracts. Oversees vendor selection, bid processes, contract compliance and purchase orders. Also operates the District Warehouse to ensure efficient inventory control, delivery and distribution of materials across sites.

Transportation
Provides students with safe, timely and dependable bus services to and from school. Coordinates routes, schedules and vehicle maintenance to support daily operations and ensure all eligible students have reliable access to educational programs and school-sponsored activities.

Together, these services ensure that schools are equipped to deliver high-quality education while meeting all operational, financial and regulatory requirements.
