Early Learning Preschoolers Explore Walruses and Winter Animals

This week, Ms. Claire’s Early Learning preschool class embarked on a fun and engaging study of walruses and other winter animals! The children explored where walruses live, their unique body features, and their diet, discovering that these fascinating creatures enjoy mussels and clams.

Through hands-on activities, the preschoolers delved into the cold Arctic habitats where walruses thrive, learning about their thick skin and tusks. Using preschool GLAD strategies, the learning experience came to life as the students engaged with real mussels and clams, pretending to be walruses themselves for the day!

Ms. Claire’s class had a wonderful time combining learning and play to discover more about these amazing animals and their wintery world. It was an unforgettable week of curiosity, creativity, and fun!
