Kicking Off the School Year with Enthusiasm and Community Spirit

El Cerrito Elementary School has kicked off the school year with enthusiasm and positivity, thanks to our amazing team of teachers, staff, and interim principal Mr. Klewer, who have set the stage for a fantastic year ahead. Their dedication and hard work have created a positive and welcoming environment, allowing students to settle in and start learning with enthusiasm. The warm atmosphere reflects the strong sense of community that El Cerrito is known for, and it’s clear that this will be a year filled with growth, achievement, and joyful experiences.

The El Cerrito PTA has also played a vital role in kicking off the school year with a series of fun and engaging activities for families. They started with Chalk the Walk to warmly welcome students back to school, followed by a Drive-Thru Ice Cream Social to celebrate the new year. The first fundraiser, "Stoves on Strike" at Yogurtland, was a hit! They also held their first meeting, setting the stage for a year of community involvement and support. A special shoutout to our 2024-25 PTA Executive Board for creating such a welcoming group for El Cerrito families!

If you haven’t joined the PTA yet, now is the perfect time! Your involvement helps make these wonderful events possible and strengthens our school community.
