Kristine Coffman

Hi! I am Mrs. Coffman! I began my teaching career in 1992 as an Elementary PE teacher. In 1996, I joined the La Habra City School District as a 1st grade teacher at Ladera Palma. With the district reconfiguration in 2018, I had the opportunity to move to Las Positas and teach 2nd grade. We are an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme School. I absolutely love my team, as well as this new approach to teaching.

On a personal note, I am married and have a 20 year old daughter. During my free time, I enjoy anything Disney, reading, and camping, especially at the beach. My family loves Angels baseball and LA Kings hockey. I also attend musicals with my daughter and concerts with my hubby.

Teaching at Las Positas has truly been an exciting adventure. There are so many components to the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. Students learn through interactive activities in cycles of inquiry. While each unit of inquiry provides opportunities for students to learn about the world, the Learner Profile Attributes enable them to focus and reflect on themselves as well as their peers. Las Positas is a true family and learning community. I can't wait to share this journey with you!
