Professional Development Day
LHCSD welcomed back our dedicated teachers to 2016--2017 year by providing three days of professional development culminating with our annual Teacher Appreciation Breakfast. On Monday, August 8th, teachers worked at their sites to develop curricular plans and to refine their instructional strategies for the new year. On Tuesday and Wednesday, all LHCSD teachers had the opportunity to personally select up to four professional development sessions to meet their specific needs. Our staff approached each session with a growth mindset and a willingness to learn new approaches to teaching. With the in-depth learning opportunities provided at the beginning of the school year, we continue to work as a team to develop our shared knowledge of research-based, District initiatives. Thank you to our LHCSD Academic Coaches and Administrative team for their good work in developing and presenting quality sessions.
