Thanks to voter approval of Measure “O” in November 2012, the District has embarked on a program to continue to improve local La Habra schools. The Measure “O” Citizens’ Oversight Committee currently needs two representatives. The Committee meets twice a year to review the expenditures of Measure “O” funding and prepares an annual report to the community. Education Code Section 15278 requires that the Citizens’ Oversight Committee inform the public concerning the expenditure of revenues received from bond sales pursuant to Measure “O”. The Oversight Committee is comprised of individuals from local businesses, senior citizen organizations, organizations involved with schools, a bona fide tax payers’ organization, as well as involved parents of children residing in the La Habra City School District.
