Amber Redmon, an 8th grade student at Imperial Middle School, has earned a spot playing the oboe with the Southern California Youth Philharmonic. The mission of the Southern California Youth Philharmonic is to provide a distinguished orchestral experience designed to motivate and enhance musical talent and foster musical growth through the rehearsal and performance of the world’s greatest music. Amber will be performing at venues including the Nixon Library, Chapman University, Disney Resort, and Carnegie Hall in New York.
Amber has been an advanced band student at Imperial for the past three years. During this time, she has earned an overall grade point average of 4.00. Amber has been involved in numerous activities such as the Dance Team, tutoring other students, and volunteering at lunch. Imperial Middle School, Academy of the Arts, is proud to call her one of our own!
