Each year, the California Association of School Psychologists (CASP) recognizes one school psychologist from each region with the Nadine Lambert Outstanding School Psychologist Award. Recipients of the award are recognized for their outstanding work with students, teachers, administrators, and parents. Helen Fernandez, a school psychologist from La Habra City School District, was selected among the nominees from the Orange County Region to receive this prestigious award.
Mrs. Fernandez started her career in La Habra City School District in 2010 after graduating from Loyola Marymount University. Since then, Mrs. Fernandez has taken on various leadership roles in supporting the implementation of nonviolent crisis interventions, positive behavior interventions and supports, and conducting comprehensive assessments. Mrs. Fernandez works tirelessly to provide quality supports and services to her students and community. Families and colleagues agree she is a wonderful asset to the community. La Habra City School District is proud to have her on our team!
