Aspiring artists Doris Deng and Michael Li attended the October 27th school board meeting in La Habra to make a special presentation. As student artists under the guidance of ARTSTUDIO123 instructor Alan Liang they had created some beautiful paintings that were selected for showing at a charity exhibition held at the La Habra Art Gallery from October 15-31.
Andre Ting, accompanied by instructor Liang, introduced La Habra Art Gallery representatives Luz Spanks and Mary Schultz at the board meeting where Doris and Michael had a special gift for the students of La Habra. They had sold some of their work at the art exhibition and presented school board president John Dobson with two $600 checks, asking that the $1200 donation be used to support the arts program in La Habra City School District. The donation will be provided to Imperial Middle School, the district’s Art Academy.
