It was a standing room only event at our first annual Elementary Music Showcase. Families, staff, and members of our community had the opportunity to experience performances from our various elementary music programs.
Under the direction of Mr. Carvajal-Beck and Mrs. Figueroa, our Elementary Band performed various selections displaying their newly acquired talent. Our Elementary Band consists of 5th and 6th grade students from all of our elementary schools across the district.
The talented voices of the Arbolita Choir, led by Mrs.Salcedo, showcased a variety of songs including Why We Sing, This Old Man, Walk Through Life, as well as an amazing rendition of How Far I’ll Go from the Disney-favorite Moana. The Arbolita Choir featured solos by Giselle Reyes and Alyssa Santos.
The District Honor Choir also made its debut under the direction of Ms. Harrison. The choir consists of students from across the district. The District Honor Choir treated the audience to an upbeat performance featuring songs such as Can’t Stop the Feeling, A Thousand Years, and Waka Waka.
We look forward to showcasing more of our amazing elementary music talent at next year’s event!
