The La Habra City School District hosted its 1st Annual District Art Show on Tuesday, May 9th at the La Habra Community Center. The event showcased hundreds of student artists from Imperial Middle School and Washington Middle School. The Community Center’s Grand Ballroom was open from 6:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. and consisted of a full gallery of student artwork. Awards were presented in front of a full room of parents, staff, and community members. Hundreds of pieces of artwork were showcased at the 1st Annual District Art Show with dozens of students receiving awards in categories such as Digital Art, Colored Pencil, and Sculptures. The event was organized by the LHCSD Visual & Performing Arts Lead Gerardo Carvajal, as well as by Visual Art Teachers Kim Johnson and Jessica Petrocelly. The LHCSD Visual and Performing Arts team looks forward to hosting next year’s event!
