Dr. Patricia Sandoval Approved as New Assistant Superintendent of Education Services by La Habra Board of Education
La Habra, CA - On January 11th, 2024, the La Habra City School District (LHCSD) Board of Education was pleased to approve the hiring of Dr. Patricia Sandoval as the new Assistant Superintendent of Education Services.
Bringing over 28 years of diverse experience in education, Dr. Sandoval has served in roles ranging from Teacher and Bilingual School Psychologist to Vice Principal, Principal, and Director of Special Education and Director of Innovative Education Programs. Her career, spanning several districts, highlights her commitment to collaborative leadership, relationship-building, and student-focused strategies.
Dr. Sandoval's academic achievements include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Ethnic Studies from U.C. Berkeley
- Masters in Science Degree in Counseling from Cal State University, Los Angeles
- Second Masters Degree in Education from the University of California, Los Angeles
- Doctorate in Urban School Leadership from the University of Southern California In addition, she holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, PPS credentials in School Psychology and Child Welfare and Attendance, and an Administrative Credential.
A dedicated mother of four children - Omar, Nayeli, Itzcoatl, and Inez - Dr. Sandoval balances her professional responsibilities with a rich personal life. She is an avid reader, enjoys Pilates, and loves spending time with her family and friends. Dancing and exploring new restaurants with her husband are among her favorite leisure activities.
