La Habra, CA - It is with both joy and a touch of nostalgia that we announce the retirement of Mrs. Pam Cunningham, a highly respected member of our district family and the current Principal at Las Lomas. The La Habra City School District approved her retirement at the April 11, 2024 Board meeting. After 35 years of dedicated service, Pam will be concluding her distinguished career at the end of this school year.
Pam began her journey with us in 1989 as a passionate second-grade teacher at Ladera Palma. Her commitment to educational excellence and her unwavering support for both students and staff saw her thrive in various roles, including Resource Specialist Teacher, School Site Staff Support, and GLAD/Writing Trainer. Her leadership skills were further recognized when she took on the role of Principal at El Cerrito School from 2007 to 2011, and subsequently at Las Lomas from 2011 until now.
Dr. Carlos, our Superintendent, expressed his gratitude: “On behalf of the La Habra City School District's Board of Trustees, we want to thank Pam Cunningham for her 35 years of service to the La Habra community. Her impact on generations of students and educators is profound and will be felt for many years to come.”
Pam's legacy is not only in the programs she has led or the policies she has shaped but in the personal connections, mentorships, and communities she has built. Her dedication to fostering environments where students and teachers alike can succeed has been a hallmark of her tenure.
As we prepare to bid farewell to Pam, we reflect on her immense contributions with gratitude and admiration. We invite you to join us in celebrating her incredible career and in wishing her a joyful and fulfilling retirement.
