La Habra City School District Welcomes Ngay Tang as New Principal of Imperial Middle School

La Habra, CA — La Habra City School District proudly announces Mr. Ngay Tang as the new Principal of Imperial Middle School beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. Mr. Tang brings a wealth of experience and an outstanding track record in educational leadership and classroom instruction, making him an invaluable addition to our community.

Mr. Tang has dedicated over 20 years to the field of education, serving as an Assistant Principal at Eagle Rock Jr./Sr. High School in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). In this role, he collaborated with educational partners to increase academic achievement, resulting in a 100% graduation rate for the Class of 2023. 

Before his administrative roles, Mr. Tang served in various capacities, including as a Science Department Chair, College and Career Coach, Instructional Coach, and Secondary Teacher. His broad experience spans from elementary to high school education, and his efforts have consistently led to improved student outcomes and teacher performance.

Mr. Tang holds a Master of Education in Urban School Leadership, a Master of Education in Urban School Teaching, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics  from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His academic background, combined with his professional credentials, underscores his commitment to educational excellence and equity.

Mr. Tang shared why he is passionate about becoming the next principal for Imperial Middle School.  “I have dedicated my life and career to improving the lives of children and supporting adults who share my unwavering commitment to public education. As a strong instructional leader with a passion for lifelong learning and leading learning, I remain deeply committed to this equity-driven mission”
