The Washington Middle School Pollution Eliminators are Isaac Quezada, Odalyis Garcia, Destiny Regalado, Brandon Garcia and Mireya Basulto.
The team created a Community Clean Air Action Plan Campaign which is replicable within our district and around the state. We are excited about our model and hope it will help others reduce their carbon footprint by 15% or more.
Our first step in addressing our environmental issue is to research as much as we can about climate change, the greenhouse effect, carbon footprint, and how human activities are involved. Our plan begins as a school outreach education approach about the greenhouse effect and climate warming. We teach our peers how to reduce the amount of CO2 in our air, thus hoping to lower our school's carbon footprint. Our action plan focuses on reducing the carbon footprint by 15%, and we hope to achieve an even greater decrease overall.
